Students at Dodd Middle School celebrated Computer Science Education Week, Dec. 8-12, by participating in an "hour of code."
Through presentations led by science teachers Kristen Santamaria and Georgia Plakas, 83 students learned about computer coding during their lunch hours. They were introduced to the basics of computer science, and learned that it is never too early to get a head-start on coding. Students worked on computers to gain exposure to the science behind coding, and to the many ways students' imaginations can influence it.
