Fourth-graders at Archer Street and New Visions attended the district's first Astro Night at Archer Street alongside their parents.
During the event, students from both schools participated in interactive science activities with Dr. Emily Kang and 24 undergraduate students of Adelphi University's Scholar Teacher Education Program. In addition, Freeport High School students Leah Hochmann and Rajiv Chanda spoke about their science projects to students and parents. The program gave students a head start on exposure to advanced scientific learning and methods.
