Eighth-grade technology classes at Dodd completed their dragster projects, a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) aligned activity.

Successful completion of the projects included design skills, problem solving and computer skills, all of which are related to technology and engineering. The projects also required proper manipulation of art mediums, plus the use of science and math concepts. Upon completion, the dragsters raced down the 66-foot track in less than two seconds time. The dragster project was a comprehensive STEAM activity through which students were exposed to various fields of study.
