During the week prior to Halloween, students at Archer Street participated in fun and educational activities incorporating pumpkins.
Every student at the school took part in the school's annual Pumpkin Patch, and received a pumpkin to take home. After students picked their pumpkins, teachers conducted a variety of related lessons and activities, including coloring in drawings of the pumpkins, using a tape measure to calculate their size, and placing them in water to determine whether they would sink or float.
Pumpkin Day at Archer served as an academic and recreational set of activities for students to participate in both independently and with their peers and teachers.
