Grinch Thrills Freeport Students
Posted on 12/23/2015

Students at Columbus Avenue were treated to a beautiful holiday display created by the Freeport High School Art Department.

As part of the two-day event, Columbus students visited the high school to first watch 25 minutes of the classic film How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and then listen to a holiday reading by the Grinch himself. Following the reading, the Grinch led the students through the Distance Learning Center, which had been completely transformed to resemble Who-Ville. The awe-struck students walked through Who-Ville observing the various decorative holiday stations. High school students also added to the festive spirit by caroling for the Columbus students.

The Freeport High School Art Department's creation of the Grinch display not only showcased its talents, but was also a testament to their dedication to providing fun and educational holiday entertainment for Freeport's youngest students at Columbus.
