Thirty students from the the high school's Student Government and Smart Scholars Program visited the State Capitol in Albany and met with Sen. John Brooks and Assemblyman Brian Curran to discuss funding for education in their community and state. Both representatives also provided students with the opportunity to visit the Assembly and Senate Chambers. The trip was an invaluable learning experience for students, who supplemented their classroom lessons about the government.
