As part of its ongoing slate of 21st Century programs, the
district hosted a summer science research program for its students at
Atkinson. As part of the program, students participated in a variety of
scientific experiments and research projects, using their summer breaks
as another opportunity to expand their knowledge. The students were led
through both indoor and outdoor-based experiments by teacher Matt
Yatsyla, and learned firsthand about scientific data, analysis, concepts
and theories.
