Two varsity cheerleaders at the high school were honored for their remarkable accolades and commitment to excellence at the Board of Education's April meeting. Deanna Carroll, two-year captain and five-year team member, was recognized for being named 2016-2017 All-Long Island First Team, the Nassau County Cheerleader of the Year, and the overall Long Island Cheerleader of the Year, while three-year team member Saadiya Toliver was recognized for being named 2016-2017 All-Long Island First Team.
The administration and Board of Education extend their congratulations to Carroll and Toliver for their accomplishments and dedication.
