Backpack Donations.
As part of their ongoing support of the district and their commitment to students' academic enrichment, the Rotary Club of Hicksville and Telegu Association of North America (TANA) donated 100 and 200 backpacks, respectively, and school supplies that will benefit community children in need. On behalf of the district, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kishore Kuncham expressed his gratitude to Rotary Club President Dr. Urmilesh Arya and TANA Executive Vice President and President Elect Jayasekhar Talluri, Regional Coordinator of Backpack Community Project Raja Kasukurthi and Regional Coordinator Vidyadhar Garapati.
Following the start of the school year, members of TANA visited New Visions School to personally deliver their donations, and were thanked by staff members and students for their generosity. In addition, Dr. Kuncham presented the members with peace-themed framed artwork as a token of appreciation.
