As part of an annual Valentine's Day tradition, fourth-graders at Bayview honored police officers in the Village of Freeport with heartwarming cards, gifts and a spirited song and dance performance at the Adopt-a-Cop luncheon.
One by one, students and teachers in each class presented the honored guests with their decorative creations, and thanked them for their dedication to safety and commitment to their community. Following the performance, students, teachers and police officers enjoyed a hearty meal together in the cafeteria.
