Our group, led by Ms. Gomez, has been researching a different confident empowering Latina that has overcome struggle and has become successful. We have worked on making connections with them and aspiring to make a difference in our school and our community by being positive strong role models to other peers. We have also set goals and have worked on self- affirmation traits to create the butterfly bulletin board outside of Mr. Fee's office. Mariposas (butterflies) is a metaphor symbolizing transformation and migration, this club gives them the opportunity to really safeguard their culture and provide them with acceptance among their peers.
