Bayview school students were excited to welcome members of the Village of Freeport Police Department for the school's 24th Annual Adopt-A-Cop event.
This program is designed for fourth grade classes to team up with police officers as a way for the school to continue its commitment to help students build lasting relationships with local law enforcement.
After each class was paired with an officer, students escorted them back to their classrooms, where each cop spoke about the significance of being a good citizen and highlighted that their top priority is to protect them.
