The Distirct Board of Education was honored to be presented with a $41,756 check from the Freeport Education Foundation during its November board meeting.
"I'm very delighted to say that the hard work of the Freeport Education Foundation board members has resulted in many grant projects for our teachers, our students and our schools for the last three years," Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kishore Kuncham said. "I'm delighted to say that over $126,000 has been raised and distributed to our schools."
The board greatly appreciates this donation, as it will be used to support the implementation of 16 innovative grants in the District.
