Seventh-grade students at J.W. Dodd Middle School received some valuable insight from Freeport High School seniors, during the school's Early College Awareness Breakfast. While enjoying some refreshments, the mission for seventh-graders was to interview seniors regarding their college preparatory process. A list of questions regarding the college process were given to each seventh-grader, which each student used while interviewing the seniors. During the interview, which included questions such as what classes should I be taking when I'm at the high school?, students took down notes and reflected on the information provided. The seniors were eager to provide recommendations and tips on what would make students successful during their transition to the high school level and their ongoing preparations for college.
