It's always a good time to eat pizza and the students from Ms. Yvonne Brown's Consumer Science Class at Freeport's Dodd Middle School had the opportunity to make their own individual pizza pies in a recent class focusing on following multi-step recipes and reinforcing kitchen safety practices.
The students were divided into two groups; those in-class and remote learning students. While the students at home were given the opportunity to create their own individual pizzas, with parental permission, they were tasked with reinforcing the rules of a safe, clean kitchen.
For the students in-school, they were provided a baking sheet with their names on it, an English muffin, cheese, tomato sauce, and spices. The students followed the multiple-step recipe and after making their pizzas, put them into the oven to bake. Within minutes, the results were perfect delicious pizzas to devour!
