Message from the Superintendent: COVID Antigen Home Rapid Test Expiration Date Information
Dear Freeport Families,
I hope this finds you and your families well. This is to share important information regarding the COVID Antigen Home Rapid Test kits we distributed last week. We originally received information from Governor Hochul's office that the expiration date of January 2022 on the kits had been extended by the FDA by 90 days. We have now been notified the COVID Antigen Home Rapid test kits will expire by the end of January, not April 2022, and we encourage you to use these kits by the end of January.
If you have not yet picked up a COVID Antigen Home Rapid Test kit for your child, and you need one, please contact your school building administration to make arrangements. Please be safe and stay well.
