Furry Friends Visit Freeport
Posted on 06/14/2021

Freeport High School students received a visit from a few four-legged friends from the Therapy Dogs of Long Island. The goal is to use the connection between dogs and humans as a therapeutic method to reduce stress. By bringing the dogs to school districts, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, colleges, and veteran associations, the organization helps alleviate stress and anxiety, and evoke joy. This is the second year the therapy dogs have been visiting the district and once again it was successful and kept students elevated throughout the day.
