Dear Colleagues,
At this time, I would like to inform you the District has accepted a letter of resignation from Freeport High School Principal Mr. Joseph Mille for personal reasons. Mr. Mille's resignation will be effective as of June 30, 2021.
On behalf of Freeport Public Schools, I would like to express our thanks and appreciation to Mr. Mille for his years of service to our school district and for his dedication to our students. We wish him the very best.
At the evening's Board of Education meeting, Ms. Linda Carter was appointed as interim principal. We will be conducting a comprehensive search for the most highly qualified candidate to serve as the next principal of our high school effective July 1, 2021.
