With a beautifully sunny sky over Leo F. Giblyn Elementary School, the fourth grade class of 2021 proudly gathered in front of Freeport administrators, staff, family and friends to celebrate their annual moving up ceremony.

Principal Amanda Muldowney, in her last moving up ceremony prior to retirement, welcomed all guests to the school's outdoor ceremony and expressed her gratitude and pride for her students, "To my wonderful students, you are truly extraordinary children. Whether you were learning in school or remotely, you worked hard and have made great strides this year, and for every year you've been at Giblyn. I hope that you had fun and lasting memories of your Giblyn School years."

Prior to announcing the names of the fourth graders moving up to fifth grade, Assistant Principal Amy Lederer presented several students with awards including the Triple C Awards and the Principal's Award which was given to Oliver Pupa.

Following, Ms. Lederer on behalf of the staff and students at Giblyn expressed her thanks to Mrs. Muldowney for her years of service to the school and for being such a wonderful principal and mentor.
