Social Studies Classes Write About U.S. Colonists’ “Breakup” with England

Dodd's seventh grade social studies Team Yale classes recently participated in a persuasive writing project. Guided by teachers Katelyn Salisbury and Michele Passariello, students were asked to write a persuasive letter to England as if they were colonists and explain why they deserve independence.

The colonists and the English Parliament, in Taylor Swift fashion, are "never, ever, ever, getting back together!"
