Message from the Superintendent: Safety and Security in our Schools
Posted on 05/25/2022

Dear Freeport Families,

Our hearts go out to the families and residents of Uvalde, Texas following the unspeakable tragedy that occurred there. This should not have to be endured by any community and we offer our deepest condolences at this time.

The safety and security of our students is our highest priority. We will continue to be vigilant in following our enhanced security protocols in all our buildings. While there have been no threats made to schools on Long Island per the Nassau County Police Department, we are assured there will be enhanced Freeport Village Police presence at all of our schools.

We continue to focus on both the physical safety and mental well-being of our students and staff. If your child requires any support, please reach out to your school building administration or counselors. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your building principals.

Regards,

Dr. Kishore Kuncham

Superintendent of Schools
