Principal's Message

March 2013

Dear Giblyn Families,

Spring is in the air!  As we enter the second half of the school year, the students have many exciting learning opportunities ahead of them.  Teachers and staff are eager and energized to continue to teach and challenge students through hands-on projects, field trips, school-wide events and lessons.
 
With all of the motivating events we have planned, it is important to remember to keep the students engaged and motivated with the learning that continues at home.  The New York State tests are quickly approaching and it is a time to let your child shine and show what they have learned so far this year.  Please remember to keep reading with your child, having them complete homework assignments, and making sure that they are getting plenty of rest to be productive in school.
    
ELA for Third and Fourth Grade: April 16, 17 and 18
Math for Third and Fourth Grade: April 24, 25, and 26
Science for Fourth Grade: May 22- 31 (hands-on portion of the test)
                                      June 3- written test
